An enthusiastic producer and beat maker, Humbulani Rasikhwela, is one of the few youths who operated on the underground music platform as a groundbreaker in the areas of Sinthumule and Kutama and emerged into the open arena as a respected artist in his own right.

If you were to go to the Sinthumule and Kutama areas, popularly known as Western, and ask for Humbulani Rasikhwela, you might not find him. He is affectionately known as Teddy'H in the music industry across the Vhembe district and beyond so far.

“Music is my life, and every day I celebrate being an artist who is making an impact in the music industry,” he said. “It all started around 2004, when we walked and uttered verses and rhymes in the streets. Along the way, I met one talented rapper, Vhasobi, and so far our relationship has bred good results in terms of musical growth and projects.”

The work of Teddy'H speaks for itself. He released an album entitled Music is all I Need, to critical acclaim in 2012. In the same year, he recorded and released a mix tape entitled Vito Tune. He then realised that there was a need for growth for local artists and decided to initiate Vito Vibe Music, which is a mixture of brands from entertainment, clothing and marketing.

“We are here, and we are not just here but we are here to make history as youths,” he said.

When Teddy'H speaks of making a mark in the music industry, he means it. He is the man who made beats for an award-winning VenRap artist, Bhamba, for the anthemic song Masindi, and Fizzy's Ntakuseni. He has so far worked with more fine artists, who all respect him for his ability to make versatile beats for different artists across all popular genres.

He told Limpopo Mirror that he is currently working on two projects, a hip hop, and a house album, due around November this year.

Ndi shumela Venda (I work for the upliftment of Venda),” he said. Teddy'H can be reached on Whatsapp on 0721860111.
