Stiff penalties for undisciplined teams

 

Mahagala Young Stars were fined R15,000 and lost league points after being found guilty of assaulting a referee during their clash against Madandila Happy Boys. During the match, the supporters of Young Stars invaded the field and assaulted the referee.

The team’s representatives appeared before a disciplinary committee at the SAFA Vhembe office last Saturday. They were found guilty and instructed to pay the fine within 30 days. The points will be awarded to Happy Boys.

During the disciplinary hearing, Muhuyu Copper Stars were found guilty of assaulting the referee and causing the abandonment of their match against Musasenda Big Five. They were fined R15,000 and forfeited three points to Big Five.

Luvhalani Sunshine Pirates received a fine of R9,000 for assaulting the referee during their match against Rabali Pull Together. Sunshine Pirates’ supporters invaded the field and assaulted the referee, causing the match to be abandoned.

Mukhomi Real Madrid were found guilty of fielding a suspended player, Mkhabela Makwesu, during their match against Jokozela FC and were fined R5,000. The player will remain suspended until the end of the 2023/24 soccer season.

Tomorrow All Stars failed to provide proper soccer kit to all players during their league match against Jokozela FC and forfeited the league points to Jokozela. They were fined R8,000.

Makhitha Oscar Stars faced charges of causing an indirect abandonment and failing to provide adequate security in their league match against Ramantsha Blackpool. They were fined R6,000 and forfeited the league points to their opponents.

Mapholi Galatas were fined R3,000 for failing to provide an alternative soccer kit to players during their match against Tshamutilikwa Fire Boys. The fine is suspended for the entire season.

Limpopo Uprising Soccer Academy were found not guilty of using unregistered players against Muraida Youth Development. The match will be replayed at a neutral venue, with the date and venue to be decided by the league.

Maniini Real Madrid were found guilty of failing to mark the field of play for their match against Shayandima Dynamos. Madrid was fined R3,000 for causing the abandonment of the match and forfeited the league points to Dynamos.

Ramantsha Blackpool were not found guilty on charges of failing to produce player registration cards and ID documents for their match against Soutpansberg Powerline. The match will be replayed at the same venue, with the date decided by the league.
