The Soutpansberg Astronomy Club (SAC) in Louis Trichardt will hold its next observation evening on Saturday, 29 October, from 19:00 onwards.
The New Moon a day later will make this an ideal time for dark skies.
Three naked-eye planets will be visible during the early part of the evening, namely Venus, Saturn and Mars, which has been in the news this past week.
