Rhuu and The Xplicits Crew release mega single

The highly talented award-winning gospel singer Rhuu Tshikovha and the Nigerian singing group, The Xplicits Crew, collaborated on a musical project that gave birth to a popular gospel single, entitled Deeper.

The Xplicits Crew is a group of gospel singers who hail from Abuja, Nigeria. Deeper is a real worshiping tune with an international feel that was produced by Tobass Adolphus. The Xplicits Crew only got to know about Rhuu and her music via social media.

“They started following my talent and got to a stage where they proposed doing a song with me,” she said. “How I got to record this song with The Xplicits is still unbelievable. They followed me on Facebook, and they listened to my music online. They loved my voice, decided they wanted to feature me on a single and I agreed.”

The agreement was that Rhuu would sing in Tshivenda and also do a translation of the lyrics. “Deeper has got both local and Nigerian feel in it,” she said. “In creating Deeper, we wanted to bring an awareness to our local and Nigerian fans of the fact that music knows no boundaries.”

Rhuu said that she had been receiving a great response from people who had listened to the song.

Rhuu Tshikovha is the stage name of Rudzani Cheron Mudzielwana from Tshixwadza village. She released her first gospel album, entitled Madzanga, in 2016, which comprises 10 songs that were all produced by the legendary Dan “Splash” Tshanda.

“I am still in my early days in the music industry, so I am taking one step after another while observing and learning from the veterans who have been in the field longer than me and are still staying strong and relevant,” she said. “It is my dream to be that musician who stays relevant to her fans and, in the process, inspires young and old.”

Deeper is available from online music stores such as Itunes, Google Music Play and Amazon. The video of the song will follow later this year. Rhuu Tshikovh is available on Facebook.
