Mariana Motlare,

Top artists to join Mariana during launch

“The music industry needs someone who has a good working relationship with fellow artists. You need support from your colleagues to realize your potential and succeed. I’m overwhelmed with joy by the support from fellow musicians who have committed to come and perform with me when I launch my new album.”

These were the words of Mariana Motlare, a new force to be reckoned with in the local Afro-Pop music fraternity. She explained how she fell in love with Afro-Pop music. “I have been playing and singing soul music for the past 15 years, and it came to my mind that I should try some other genre because I’m becoming matured day by day. This is how my new Afro-Pop album, Nthaheleni, was conceived.”

She added that she was just trying her luck but was amazed by how the album was received by music lovers. The album became a household name in the first week of its release. “I couldn’t believe it when people told me that this was my best offering ever. I was also moved by the massive airplay that the album is receiving on national and regional radio stations.”

Mariana, who will launching Nthaheleni at Spring Pub Dizza in Musina next Saturday (1 December), said she had assembled the cream of the crop on the local music scene to come and celebrate with her. “During my album launch, I will be joined by big names such as (Dr) Colbert Mukwevho, Zozo and Sengere Super Beat, Humbulani Ramagwedzha, Black Jah Man, Mercy Masakona Madzivhandila, Solomon Mathase, Mazwale, Mashudu Nematoka, Jah Lady Dorris, Ramzee, Alingo, Profix and Elekanyani Tshabuse. With these famous artists, the launch will be an extravaganza not to be missed by all music lovers.  I urge all music lovers to come in large number to witness this gig. We can all agree that Musina will really come to a standstill on this day.”

She advised music lovers to come to the launch venue on time to avoid a stampede. “All arrangements have been done and we are only waiting for the big day to come. This distinguished gig is a thank you gift to all my fans who made me what I am today.”

For public performances, CD sales and more information about the album launch, Mariana can be phoned on 082 049 2333.
