The Tshivenda Gospel Diva, Takie Sikhwivhilu, will launch her CD Khori Dzavho during an event at the Living Gospel World Mission Church in Tshilivho Ha-Makhuvha today (Friday).
During the same event, her DVD will be recorded.
She said that the title, Khoroni Dzavho, means His gate and it was inspired by Psalm 100 verse 4, “enter his gates with thanksgiving.” She added that her CD had 16 tracks, of which all were written by her except one song, Khari shumele Mudzimu, which was taken from the hymn book.
She said seven tracks were worshiping songs, while others were praise songs. It is her fourth CD going solo, “meaning I have been doing these projects alone”.
She said that she was also awarded the best songwriter and best collaboration awards during the 2016/17 Afri Dzonga and Gauteng Gospel Music Awards respectively.
“All glory to God, after such abundant grace,” added Sikhwivhilu.
The launch will start at 17:30 and tickets are available at Computicket at R100 per person.
