Makwarela concert to cater for music lovers

Music lovers will be treated to some sterling live performances by some of Vhembe’s great singers and musicians during an annual music concert to be held at Siambe Tavern near Makwarela and Tshikweta village on Saturday (5 October).

The line-up boasts talented artists whose music have stood the test of the time. They are Marcus Mundalamo, Edwell Ndou, Rasta NK, Shufflers, Ishamel Mudau, Majasi, Jah Soldier, Ras Mon, McDonald Rasta, Per Pull, Wise Boy, Rap Moolay, Roro Group, Ras Chief, and Summerboy.

The concert is the brainchild of Carlos Tshikalange, who is well known by his stage name of Ras Mon in reggae circles. “This is one show that brings all artists together to celebrate life through music,” Ras Mon said. “All the singers are well prepared to ascend the stage and give amazing performances that have never been seen before.”

The event was first held at Vhashungwa at Ha-Dumasi village last year and attracted hundreds of music lovers from most parts of Vhembe District.

“Entry is free, and the first singer will climb onto the stage at 18:00,” he said. For more information, Ras Mon can be contacted at 063 771 0801.
