Jaydee Promotions is going online

Although the coronavirus has brought the world to a standstill, it has presented some with an opportunity to come up with new ideas on how they do things.

The founder of Jaydee Promotions, Arendwaho Ndou, said every year they hosted the Shutdown Annual Show and Birthday Annual Experience, but due to COVID-19, the events had been cancelled. Most-loved artists such as Colbert Mukwevho, Makhadzi and Master KG usually perform at these events.

"Since there are no more public gatherings, it is time to be innovative," he said. With most things being done online, he is planning to do an online beauty pageant. "I'm busy with the preparations for a first ever online beauty pageant, called Miss Model at Home. We are creating it for models to feel the same way they do while they are on stage," he said.

He advised other event organisers and promoters to obey the president's call. "We are in a difficult situation, but we have to obey and not do events in order to reduce the spread of the virus. We have to stay calm, even though we won't be earning money anytime soon," he said.

"To all artists who are signed under Jaydee Promotions, it's a good time for them to work more on their music. We are also encouraging everyone to stay at home, including our artists," he said. Some of the artists signed under Jaydee Promotions are Reckless Musiq, Skhumba De DJ, Ginger Man SA, Emjay Nace and LVB.
