Mukosi signs new contract with M Productions

The evergreen Afro-beat singer, Mukosi, has just signed a new contract with M Productions in Gauteng and fans can expect firework performances from her for the entire festive season.

Mukosi, born Shonisani Maideledzha, is well-known in the music industry for her exceptional voice and sexy moves as she performs the song Kha ri dovhe zwa mulovha. She says that she has reached the right platform in her music career.

“I am very excited to be working with the new company,” she says. “I am looking forward to growing my career and making it in the music industry. I will continue working hard and improving my music every day."

M Productions’ representative, Mr Dennis Vundla, says that they signed Mukosi at the busiest time of the year when they are even more than ready to invest fully in her as an artist. “We feel honoured that Mukosi has entrusted us with managing her career. We will make sure that we strengthen the relationship and grow together. We are happy that an artist like her chose us as her management.”

Mukosi is currently recording her new album. She revealed that the album will feature songs such as Tshoto Tshoto dakani, Dj Volume and Winder. “I will also be performing these songs live in December as I am already widely booked for the festive season,” she said.

Mukosi is the stage name of this talented singer, who earned it from her primary school days when she led traditional music troupes from her school at Mukondeni village in the Mashamba area. “I led the malende, tshigombela and tshifasi music-and-dance groups at schools that I attended. When I got into the centre, singing in my beautiful voice, I would dance until all traditional attire fell off. I just continued to dance with people shouting with excitement,” she said. “That was when people started to call me Mukosi, because I cheered them up.”

The trophies that her school received during different competitions remain in the schools’ display cases even today. “To me, music is a calling. I didn’t just start singing and dancing today,” she said.

Her previous albums include Shango lashu (2016), Matula (2017) and Kha ri dovhe zwa mulovha (2019).

Mukosi says she is in the music industry to stay. Watch this space.
