Elias Nare's passion is to produce music.

“Follow your passion,” says Nare

“If music is what you love and what you are passionate about, keep working at it and ask for feedback from fans. Feedback is very important. From feedback you will grow and improve the quality of your production. Be prepared to learn new things,” said Elias Nare, a recognised music producer from Mushongo Ville in Musina.

Nare (22) received studio lessons in Ha-Makushu village from Master Stax, and the fact that these lessons came from a mere rural village never deterred his ambition. At the age of 14, Nare’s mother bought him his very own computer. Playing around with the computer and combining symphonies later resulted in his becoming an accomplished music producer.

Listening to some old music tracks produced by T.I. Kelly really motivated him. “I wondered how musicians like Kelly produced their music. This motivated me to go the extra mile in trying to produce my own music,” said Nare.

Asked how he had managed to balance school lessons and his music production, Nare said that he had to stick to strict timetables. “I knew that if I did more of one, I risked losing focus on the other,” he said.

In 2015, Nare performed at the Musina Annual Music Show alongside other artists. This young and upcoming musician works with Hardknox, OG Beatz and Marow on vocal production and beat composition.

Nare can be followed on Facebook or emailed at [email protected] or [email protected].
