Martin is making waves again

Martin Musetha, a talented local actor from Vleifontein, has made waves again. This time by releasing a brand-new music video.

Won’t let it go features the vibrant voice of Pal M, who provides just the right vibe to this love song.

“We have emerged from Covid-19’s second wave with more strength and energy as artists and are hereby offering music lovers melodies of hope,” Musetha says. “There’s always hope in love. Is it possible to separate one from the other? I don’t think so.”

Musetha, who starred in movies such as Western Style, Vhatukanani, and Jack the Kidnapper, had found his voice around six years ago. From the moment he realised what it meant to him, he has not looked back. His previous EP, titled One Day - Ndau i do vhomba, comprises six hot songs - One day, O i kanda mutshila, A huna ndavha, O s'momo tshanga bby, Irie te be patu, and Thuso.

He sings from deep in the heart. “Music is the source of all joy, happiness, and peace. We sing and listen to music when we are happy or sad, and the kind of music I produce has a way of healing the broken-hearted,” he says.

Musetha knows how to put words together to create meaning, and the fact that he is also a poet is not surprising. “Singing comes easy for me, as I sing from the heart,” he said. “I discovered my singing talent while singing in different choirs with other artists as backing vocalists.”

Won’t let it go is freely available online (https://youtu.be/G6hn7qzodE4). Musetha can be reached on Tel 084 275 1816.
