Meek Enk's upbeat tunes earn him a Mzansi nomination

Meek Enk has made quite an impression with the release of his first song, titled All Night, which is especially popular among young music lovers. His upbeat hip-hop tunes have not only earned him an impressive fan base, but also a nomination for the Mzansi Arts and Media Awards in the Best Upcoming Artist category, and he can hardly sit still from the exhilaration.

“Oh, I am excited! This is such a great recognition for a young artist like me.”

Meek Enk, born Vhulenda Samuel Mahwasane, hails from Muledane village. He has become the darling of the local youth and seems to have the ability to create the kind of music that his young fans can relate to.

“I sing for the youth; I know and understand their language very well, being young myself,” he said. “We love good art, and this includes good music.”

He grew up surrounded by good music; whether it was at home or in a taxi, and his greatest desire is to use his popularity to bring positive change into other young people’s lives.
