In a time when the world is faced with many pressing social challenges, Petrus Mamuhohi’s book, You are Wired for Success, may come as a blessing for many.

In this easy-to-read-and-understand motivational book, Mamuhohi shares stories of courage from some of the giants “who rose up from the ashes to glory”, such as Chillyboy Rathando, Rapson Rambuwani, Prudence Nemamilwe-Mphephu, Dr Hulisani Tshabuse, Selby Mukwevho, and Thomani Gomba. “They had not always been where they are today. It was through determination and hard work that they defied their own disabilities, albinism, poverty, inadequate education and marginalisation in order to achieve success,” he said.

What the author aims for with this publication is to stir up hope and enable possibility-thinking. He also put together some winning strategies that might be of great assistance as readers pursue success.

As founder and senior pastor of Good News Discipling Church at Mandiwana village, Mamuhohi believes in life without limitations and desires to see every person discovering and unleashing their full potential. “This is the kind of passion that makes me see possibilities of greatness in every human,” he said.

Mamuhohi, who has helped many people in different spheres of life, including ministry, leadership, music, business and education, to realise their dreams believes that You are Wired for Success comes at the right time.

“In a society that is being harassed by a damaging scarcity of jobs - worsened by the Covid-19 pandemic - creativity and innovation are a dire need,” he said. “The feeling of hopelessness is fuelling the devastation that is already at its climax.”

However, he reminds people that the current generation is not the first to go through challenging times. “Others had faced their own devastating predicaments in the past, and conquered,” he said. “Some of them are still with us today. They are our role models who inspire hope in us to rise above the circumstances surrounding us.”

Tshifhiwa Mukwevho

Tshifhiwa Given Mukwevho was born in 1984 in Madombidzha village, not far from Louis Trichardt in the Limpopo Province. After submitting articles for roughly a year for Limpopo Mirror's youth supplement, Makoya, he started writing for the main newspaper. He is a prolific writer who published his first book, titled A Traumatic Revenge in 2011. It focusses on life on the street and how to survive amidst poverty. His second book titled The Violent Gestures of Life was published in 2014.
