Vha Bisha keeps House music alive

“Those who thought that House music was on its way out, should think twice,” says Phumudzo Nthatheni, a local musician from Khubvi village, better known as Vha Bisha.

The prolific music star has just released his third album, titled Heritage, and to consolidate his loyalty to the House genre, he has decided to keep it local and make sure that it continues to survive.

Vha Bisha says the six-track album is his gift to his fans who have been supporting him in his music career spanning more than 10 years now. “It is important to make my fans happy because they are the ones who made me what I am today. They have been by my side through and through, even when music evolved and so many various modern genres started to emerge. This is the best gift I could offer them, as they have demonstrated what true loyalty is all about.”

Heritage (title track), How could you, A ri edeli, Vhutshilo, Yekela u ku khala and Kha vha rendwe, will make House music lovers reach for their dancing shoes. Look out for the album in online digital music stores.

“Judging by the positive feedback from my fans, I have no doubt that the album will make its way through the tough music industry. It is already a household beat in public places like local drinking holes and in public transport. It is also fulfilling to hear that some of the songs from this album had also been receiving airplay on various radio stations within the first week of its release,” he said.

Vha Bisha is an accomplished musician who cut his teeth in the Living Waters International Christian Church band in Khubvi village, and has worked with experienced artists such as Wanga Mukwevho, Brothers in Love and Shaman Worship.
