The well-known radio presenter, Given “Gvoice” Nekhumbe, is undeniably one of the hottest tickets in local music right now. The gifted Afropop artist recently released his EP, featuring Mr Brown, titled Moto, and his fans are already going crazy over it.
Nekhumbe said that he had worked tirelessly on this project, meticulously selecting each song and choosing each artist he collaborated with. He is very confident that he has hit just the right spot. “I believe that I started a whole new movement within the Afropop culture in our region. My fans are always left attentive and deeply interested in my music,” he said.
He was also very satisfied with the response to the album, mentioning that he had received invitations to perform at various venues in and around the Vhembe region.
Nekhumbe said that for as long as he could remember, he had had a passion for music. “It comes naturally for me,” he explained.
He also believes that music is a universal language through which he can interact with millions of people from different cultures across the world. “In spite of different languages, music connects us to a language we can all understand, and through it, we ignite global peace, unity, and harmony.”
Nekhumbe added that, although he loved music, education was still his number-one priority. “I know how important that foundation is. I have seen many big names living on handouts today because they neglected their education once their music careers started to blossom. If we all get a proper education, South Africa would be a better place to live in,” he said.
