The annual global event is a meeting of 3,500 student, academic and business leaders to showcase the entrepreneurial action and shared innovative solutions that transform lives and create a better future.  The chief executive officer and country director for Enactus South Africa, Ms Letitia de Wet, said that the event “unleashes the entrepreneurial spirit of our student members to enable real human progress and empower communities while developing the next generation of entrepreneurs and future leaders.”

The team will present on three of their projects, namely the Hi-Hanyile, Mohlabaile Phelang and Mukondeni Ceramic Water Filter projects. The Hi-Hanyile project addresses the impact of malaria on Limpopo and focusses on commercially cultivating a plant called Lippia Javanicca.

The team’s second project, Mohlabaile Phelang, also addresses good health and well-being through the production of a healing herbal tea. The Mukondeni Ceramic Water filters project addresses clean water and sanitation. It also addresses the health and sanitation challenges faced in the Vhembe community of access to clean water.
