Vhembe produces another pro ref

The SAFA Vhembe Regional Football Association has done it again. Mr Khamusi Razwimisani is another product of SAFA Vhembe to officiate in the professional ranks.

Razwimisani’s refereeing career started in 2010. At that stage he was 19 years old. It took him only one year to gain promotion from the local football association to officiate at regional level.

In the year 2013, the Mbilwi-Makanga-based referee was promoted once more to officiate in the ABC Motsepe League, or the Vodacom Promotional League as it was formerly known. His dream to become a professional referee became a reality when he was appointed to the panel of referees who will be officiating in the Premier Soccer League games three months ago.

Razwimisani has officiated in three National First Division League matches since his promotion three months ago. His debut game was between Santos and Real Kings at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town. He then officiated in the game between Amazulu and Mbombela United at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban. His third assignment was at the game between Black Leopards and Mbombela United at the Thohoyandou stadium last month.

Although he has been in the business for only six years now, Razwimisani has a lot to be proud of as a football referee. He was nominated as the best referee on three occasions, namely the 2014 U/19 ladies soccer tournament, the 2012 Vhembe Mayor's Cup Tournament and the 2015 SAB League U/21 tournament.

He stated that his most memorable game was a local derby between Tshakhuma RO United and KK Revolution in 2012. He further said that he would never forget the day when he was assaulted by the fans, players and officials of Muledane Block J FC in their game against Lufule Flying Bombers in 2010.

Razwimisani said that his dream is to officiate during World Cup games.
