Sport facilities for school

Pupils who attended school at Manaledzi High, as well as members of the community and royal council expressed their satisfaction during the official opening of a sports centre at the school last Friday.

The construction of the facilities was sponsored by the National Lottery Commission with an amount of R300 000. The sponsorship catered for soccer and netball kits, chess facility, boxing equipment and a volleyball and netball court.

The chairperson of the Lottery Commission, Prof Alfred Nevhutanda, said they are happy to sponsor new sports facilities to the dedicated and passionate pupils of Manaledzi. According to him, the lottery supports sports and community development projects.

The principal of the school, Mr Joe Phungo said the project will empower the local community and learners from all the neighbouring schools will have a place to play. He appealed to people to use the facility properly.

Thovhele Vho-Rudzani Sinthumule, said it is pleasing to find people who were still prepared to lend a helping hand to needy people. "You have transformed my village and put it on another level. Keep up the good work and continue assisting the poor communities," he said.
