MMK promotional play-offs round-up

 

This past weekend marked the starting point for the MMK Administrators Soccer League promotional play-offs. The champions from the nine streams are divided into two groups.

Tshakhuma RO United started their play-off programme with a bang. They beat Mashamba Benfica 3-1 at the Rabali Stadium. Mikhado FC, who finished on top of group B, beat Berea FC 2-1 in their opening match.

Rambuda Young Fighters refused to go back home without a victory. They beat Tshakhuma RO United 3-1 in their opening fixture. Berea FC rectified their mistakes and registered a 4-1 victory over Mashamba Benfica in their second fixture.

Rambuda Young Fighters could not absorb the pressure from Mikhado FC, who narrowly beat them 1-0 at the Rabali open grounds.

Rambuda Young Fighters gave away more points the following day when they lost 1-4 to Berea FC at the Rabali Stadium. Mikhado FC met their match in Tshakhuma RO United in their opening match on Sunday morning. They drew 1-1.

Mashamba Benfica registered their only victory when they beat Rambuda Young Fighters 3-1. Tshakhuma RO United shared the spoils with Berea FC with a 2-2 draw.

Mikhado FC wrapped up their Sunday programme by beating Mashamba Benfica 2-0. Mikhado finished on top of group A with 10 points. Makovha All Stars won their first two matches at the Makhuvha Stadium before losing 0-6 to Mpheni Home Defenders. They beat Rockers FC 1-0 and Phandulaluvalo FC 3-1 before suffering a 0-6 drubbing at the hands of Mpheni Home Defenders.

Phandulaluvalo FC were group B’s milk cow. They lost 1-2 to Mpheni Home Defenders in their opening match. They lost 1-3 to Makovha All Stars on Saturday afternoon before suffering a humiliating 0-4 defeat at the hands of Rockers FC the following day.

Home Defenders lost 0-1 to Rockers FC in their second game. Mpheni Home Defenders finished on top of group B. They will meet the group A leaders in the final at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday.
