Heavy fines for teams

 

The disciplinary committee of Safa Vhembe found Thembaluvhilo Seven Stars guilty of assaulting a referee and fined the team R5 000.

The meeting of the committee took place in Thohoyandou a fortnight ago.

It was also decided that Stars would forfeit the three league points to Shonisani FC.

Shayandima Disco Five were found guilty of fielding a player who was not properly registered. They were fined R4 000 and three points were awarded to their opponents, Tshivhadzwaulu Peace Makers.

Mahlari FC were fined R600 for causing the abandonment of the match against Wayeni Sea Robbers. The three match points were also awarded to Sea Robbers.

Earlier this year, Berea FC were fined for fielding an improperly registered player in their match against Igwe FC. They appealed to Safa and they were found not guilty last Thursday and awarded three points, which gives them a chance to represent Stream H in the promotional playoffs.
