Joel Masutha is TTM’s general manager

A former assistant coach of Black Leopards, Mr Joel “The Prophet” Masutha, is now an employee of the local National First Division side, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM), but not as part of the team’s technical staff.

His appointment as the team’s general manager is part of the management’s decision to beef up all departments with experienced personnel.

According to the club’s chairman, Mr Humbulani Mphephu, after purchasing the NFD franchise from Milano United last week, it became imperative for them to ensure that the team is managed in a professional manner, hence Masutha’s appointment. Masutha’s football experience dates to the days when he was a keeper for Black Leopards in the late nineties.

He was later appointed the goalkeeper coach and later the team’s assistant coach for Lidoda Duvha. He left Black Leopards for Royal Eagles at the beginning of last season, where he worked as an assistant to the Serbian mentor, Mr Kostadin Papic, for one season.

Masutha confirmed his appointment, saying he was looking forward to a successful season with TTM.

Mphephu also confirmed that Mr Sello Chokoe will remain the team’s head coach. Chokoe was appointed the head coach early last week, a few days before the club bought the NFD status. Chokoe will be assisted by Mr Lishy Tshinavhe. Tshinavhe was an assistant to Mr Lucky Nelukau while the team was campaigning in the ABC Motsepe League last season.

Mphephu also mentioned that they had appointed the former national U/17 team coach, Mr Solly Luvhengo, as the technical director. Luvhengo was the brain behind the success of the SAB League side, Mikhado FC, last season. Mr Nndwamato Miriri will continue to work as the team manager.
