TTM and Leopards geared for PSL

What the president of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM), Mr Masala Mulaudzi, told the guests during the official launching ceremony of the club at the 2Ten Hotel six months ago, is fast becoming an undisputable reality.

During the ceremony, Mulaudzi said that it was his wish to see either TTM or Black Leopards finish their current league programme on top of the log and gain automatic promotion to the elite division, and the other one taking part in the promotional play-offs.

The current league log shows that TTM stand a good chance of finishing on top of the log, while chances are good for Lidoda Duvha to take part in the promotional play-offs. TTM are lying in the second position on the log with 33 points, 8 behind the pace setters, Highlands Park. Black Leopards are perched in the seventh position with 28 points.

The head coach of TTM, Mr Sello Choekoe, and his Black Leopards counterpart, Mr Joel “The Prophet” Masutha, are not worried about the fact that Highlands Park are 8 points ahead of TTM. The two mentors are optimistic that Highlands Park will drop points along the way to allow TTM to shine on top of the log.

“Highlands Park still have to play against the strong sides like Black Leopards, TTM, Jomo Cosmos, the University of Pretoria and Mbombela United, so the race for the league title is still wide open,” said Masutha.

Highlands Park’s next fixture will be against Jomo Cosmos at the Vosloorus Stadium.

Some of the teams TTM are still to play against before the end of the season include Jomo Cosmos, Highlands Park, Richards Bay, Uthongathi, Super Eagles and Cape Town All Stars, while some of the teams Leopards will face in their remaining 10 matches include Jomo Cosmos, Highlands Park, Richards Bay, Uthongathi and Super Eagles.

TTM's next match will be against Cape Town All Stars at the Athlone Stadium on 16 February, while Leopards' next encounter will be against Mbombela United at the Thohoyandou Stadium on 17 February.
