Breakers too good for Zamenkomste

Tshikhwani Stone Breakers beat Zamenkomste FC 2-1 in their MMK Administrators match at Tshikhwani on Sunday.

Breakers took the game to their opponents from the first whistle, with their strikers, Marubini Mushukwa and Netshedzo Mavhungu pressing hard in search of an early goal. It took them only 12 minutes to open their account. Their bulldozer-striker, Livhuwani Mulaudzi, hooked in the ball, following a scramble within the box.

The visitors from Zamekomste did not lose hope, despite conceding an early goal. They came close to scoring in the 26th minute, when Rofhiwa Ramovha shot wide from inside the box after beating two defenders in a row.

The half time score was 1-0 in favour of Breakers.

In the second half Breakers introduced Rudzani Madzaga and Nthambudzeni Mhlanga for Thompho Radzhadzhi and Tshifularo Mulaudzi. The home side scored the second goal in the 78th minute. Marubini Mushulwa received a pre-cooked pass from Tetelo Chuma to score easily.

Zamenkomste reduced the margin in the 83rd minute. Tsepo Masipa scored after a well-timed pass from Hulisani Mbodi. The game turned lukewarm in the remaining part of the second half as both sides adopted a wait-and-see pattern of play.
