TTM pay outstanding fees to team doctor.

The National First Division team, Tshakhuma Tshamadzivhandila (TTM), managed to resolve the pay dispute with the team’s former doctor, Mbavhalelo Manenzhe. Dr Manenzhe received his outstanding money shortly before the matter was to be discussed during a hearing of the dispute-resolution chamber of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) .

Manenzhe lodged a complaint with the resolution chamber, claiming that he had not been paid for four months’ work. The case was supposed to be heard at the PSL offices last Wednesday, but the team paid the outstanding money earlier that morning.

The decision of TTM to pay Dr Manenzhe surprised many of the fans, especially considering the statement earlier on Phalaphala FM by TTM boss Masala Mulaudzi that Dr Manenzhe was not employed by the team.

Manenzhe stopped doing duty as team doctor after the team failed to pay his full salary from August until December 2017. Following Wednesday’s payment, he confirmed that the matter between him and the team had been resolved. “I wish TTM everything of the best going forward. They are my home team and that’s why I am happy that they paid me before the issue went to the PSL. There are no legal matters pending between us. We managed to settle the matter out of court,” Manenzhe said.

TTM made the headlines on a few occasions since October last year for struggling to pay its players and technical staff. The matters were reported to the PSL’s dispute-resolution chamber. Earlier this year, more than ten players and support staff, including Rofhiwa Tshikovhi, Themba Ndlovu, Shandu Mulovhedzi, Solly Luvhengo and Mr Joel Masutha, asked the PSL’s committee to intervene and sort out their payment issues.

TTM’s spokesperson, Livhuwani Madzuwe, said that the management took a resolution to pay all outstanding monies owed to people. “Everything has been sorted out and there are no outstanding issues between the club and former technical team members, the doctor and players. We have paid them their money. We are happy and there are no problems,” he said.
