Struggle continues in Diski Challenge

 

Four matches in the Multichoice Diski Challenge Leagu will be played at various venues throughout the country tomorrow, and four matches will be played on Sunday. Whether Black Leopards will rise to the occasion and register their first victory of the season when they fight for points against Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg tomorrow morning remains to be seen.

Both Leopards and United are still to win a league match to date. United are at the bottom of the league log with one point from seven matches. Lidoda Duvha are one step on top of United with two points. Leopards conceded six goals in their last two matches.

Leopards will pin their hopes on Thembisani Nevhulamba, Xolani Ndlovu and Muthu Luswinga for goals while their defenders, Andiswa Ndawonde, Tshepo Letswalo and Maanda Makhado, will be expected to keep their danger area clean throughout.

The KZN derby between Amazulu and Lamontville Golden Arrows will be staged at the Vosloorus Stadium in Johannesburg. Highlands Park will host Bidvest Wits at the Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa. Mamelodi Sundowns will have a date with SuperSport United at the Vosloorus Stadium.

Cape Town City will entertain Chippa United at the Athlone Stadium on Sunday.

Three matches will be played at the Vosloorus Stadium on Sunday. Baroka FC and Polokwane City will lock horns at 10:00. The second match will be between Free State Stars and Bloemfontein Celtic at 12:00. The day’s programme will be wrapped up by the match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at 14:00.
