TTM and Ajax on the warpath

The NFD match between Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and Ajax Cape Town will be staged at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Monday afternoon (17 December).

Ajax will be lucky if by chance they manage to go back to Cape Town with a draw if TTM’s performance in their previous two games is anything to go by. TTM beat Ubuntu Cape Town 3-0 in their Nedbank qualification-round match at the Thohoyandou Stadium two weeks ago. They then beat TS Sporting FC 2-1 in their league match at the Kabokweni Stadium outside Nelspruit last Saturday.

The spirit is high in the Ajax camp. They welcomed their new head coach, Mr Andries Ulderink, in a dignified way by beating University of Pretoria 2-0 in Cape Town last weekend.

The president of TTM, Mr Masala Mulaudzi, indicated that he had given the team’s technical staff a clear mandate, namely, to ensure that the team gain automatic promotion to the Absa Premiership or at least qualify for promotional playoffs at the end of the season. They are currently in the third position on the log with 22 points, 5 behind the pace setters, Stellenbosch FC.

The other fixtures are: Ubuntu Cape Town vs Real Kings, Cape Umoya United vs Stellenbosch, Witbank Spurs vs Royal Eagles, the University of Pretoria vs  Richards Bay, Jomo Cosmos vs Uthongathi FC,  Mbombela United vs Maccabi FC and TS Sporting vs TS Galaxy.
