Can Black Leopards maul Amazulu?

Will Black Leopards rise to the occasion and maul AmaZulu when they meet in their Absa Premiership League match at the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow afternoon? That remains to be seen.

The match will be the second one for the Thohoyandou side under the guidance of the team’s new head coach, Mr Dylan Kerr.

The Englishman was on the team’s technical bench for the first time in their game against Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday evening. The fact that both Leopards and AmaZulu are fighting for survival is reason enough for the local football fanatics to expect to watch a thriller.

The good news for Lidoda Duvha is that all their players will be available for selection tomorrow. This after their three key players, Phathutshedzo Nange, Joseph Mhlongo and Tumelo Khutjang, recovered sufficiently from injuries. The combination of Jean Munganga, Nyiko Sibanda and the team’s captain, Marks Munyai, at the back has the potential to keep the AmaZulu strikers out of the Leopards’ danger area from the onset.

Chippa United will entertain Polokwane City at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth this evening (Friday). This is the second match for Chippa United under the guidance of the team’s head coach, Mr Joel “The Prophet” Masutha. Masutha’s first game on the team’s technical bench was against Cape Town City at the Cape Town Stadium on Tuesday evening.

SuperSport United will host Maritzburg United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria tomorrow afternoon. Sunday will see Baroka FC fight for points against Bidvest Wits at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. Bloemfontein Celtic will travel to Thembisa, where they will lock horns with Highlands Park at the Makhulong Stadium on Monday afternoon (17 December).
