An affiliate of the MMK Administrators Soccer League, Shayandima Dynamos FC, have reason to rejoice. This follows the decision by the management of the Khuvutlu Water Consulting Roads and Services Company (KWCRS) to sponsor the team.

The ceremony during which the sponsorship was officially launched was held at the Shayandima School grounds last Saturday afternoon.

During the event, the managing director of the company, Mr Vonani Stanley Makondo, handed over soccer equipment to the value of R20 000 to the captain of the team, Fhulufhelo “Sugar” Sithodolo. The equipment includes 25 pairs of soccer boots, five soccer balls, two sets of soccer nets and whistles.

Makondo indicated that their decision to sponsor the team was in response to a request from the club. He added that although his company was based in Polokwane, most of their projects were in the Vhembe District. That is the reason they decided to sponsor a football club that is based in the Vhembe District.

He said that his company was the main sponsor of the annual football tournament for primary schools from Njakanjaka village and the surrounding areas. He also mentioned that they had recently donated three classrooms to Nkuzana Pre-School.

The captain of the team, Fhulufhelo Sithodolo, said that the sponsorship would go a long way in boosting the team’s morale. To prove that the sponsorship has indeed injected more fighting spirit into the team, Dynamos collected four points in their last two league matches over the past weekend.
