Register for Pre-Season Cup

Mamu Community Development invites teams to register for the Collins Sebola Group Pre-season Cup 2019.

Teams should be affiliated with the South African Footbal Association (Safa Vhembe SAB) and Makhado Local Football Assciations (Malfa). Eight teams from each stream will be accepted per tournament leg. 

"While we are inviting all teams to register to play in this two-stream tournament, only the first eight teams in each stream will be accepted without prejudice," said Mamu's general secretary, Mr Jafter Mamugudubi.

The registration fee for Safa Vhembe SAB teams is R2 000 and for Malfa teams is R1500.

The winner of Safa's SAB teams will receive R25 000, while the champions of the Malfa teams will receive R15 000. More prizes, such as football equipment for the champions, will be added as well.

The matches will take place on 21, 22 and 24 September.

Tshifhiwa Mukwevho

Tshifhiwa Given Mukwevho was born in 1984 in Madombidzha village, not far from Louis Trichardt in the Limpopo Province. After submitting articles for roughly a year for Limpopo Mirror's youth supplement, Makoya, he started writing for the main newspaper. He is a prolific writer who published his first book, titled A Traumatic Revenge in 2011. It focusses on life on the street and how to survive amidst poverty. His second book titled The Violent Gestures of Life was published in 2014.
