Mikhado and United in Motsepe clash

They beat Tshakhuma RO Nandilani (TRON) 3-2 at the Tshisahulu grounds last Saturday - now the question remains whether Mikhado will continue to collect the maximum points when they host Polokwane United in their ABC Motsepe League match at the Rabali Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

A win against United will put Mikhado back in the league title race after they started their league programme on a bad note. Should they be given the chance tomorrow, the defence of United will find it difficult to stop the strikers of Mikhado, namely Aluwani “Killer” Nedzamba and Kenneth “Mabena” Lesia. Nedzamba squandered several clear scoring chances in their game against TRON last Saturday.

Mikhado’s defenders, Bornwise Molobo, Rofhiwa Tshikovhi and Thulani Mabizela, are poised to keep their danger area clean from the onset to the end.

The other Vhembe-based side, Venda Football Academy (VFA), will undertake a journey to Polokwane where they will lock horns with Magezi FC at the Manamela Stadium.  VFA are still to lose a league match so far. VFA will pin their hopes on Rudzani “Zobo” Thabo and Tswabutla Mosima for goals. They played to a goalless draw with Mighty FC at the Tshifudi Stadium last Saturday.

Tshakhuma RO Nandilani will visit the newcomers, Makotopong Brazilians, at the Nchabiseko Stadium outside Polokwane. TRON are still to win a league match this season.

Giyani Happy Boys will host Eleven Fast Tigers at the Giyani Stadium. Tigers must keep a close eye on the Boys’ killer striker, Vutomi Ngomana, or else they will concede an avalanche of goals.

The match between Ndengeza FC and Polokwane Academy will be played at the Giyani Stadium on Sunday. The Polokwane derby between Mighty FC and The Dolphins FC will be staged at Polokwane’s Old Peter Mokaba Stadium this afternoon, Friday, at 15:00.

Ditlou FC will also entertain Ngwabe City Motors at the Groblersdal Stadium today.
