Azwinndini Tshisudzungwane Soccer Tournament at Tshiduduni

The fifth edition of the Azwindini Tshisudzungwane Annual Soccer Tournament will take place on 28 December at the Tshiduduni sports grounds.

The teams that will participate are Musunda Football Club, Shakadza Ocean Swallows, Always Remember Home and Gumela Football Club. According to one of the organisers, Mr Rotondwa Tshisudzungwane, the tournament is also used to unite the neighbouring communities and to keep reminding those working in Gauteng and other areas to remember their homes, where they come from.

“This huge annual tournament that attracts people from all over the province is played in memory of the soccer giant, the late Mr Azwinndini Tshisudzungwane, who spent all his time making sure boys in the valley played soccer.”

He said one generation after the other played under his watch and support. These include the likes of Dr Naledzani Rasila, Mr ThinavhuyoThagisa, Mr Tshifhiwa Nephalama, Mr Madala Rammbuda and many others.
