Two tricky hurdles for Mikhado FC

Teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League will start with their league activities this weekend.

The defending champions, Mikhado FC, will play their first two matches in front of their home crowd. Ikwasha fhedzi, as they are affectionately called, will host Tshakhuma RO Nandilani at the Rabali Stadium tomorrow afternoon (Saturday). The pride of the Nzhelele Valley will enjoy the home-ground advantage in their second fixture. Mikhado will host The Dolphins FC at the same venue next Wednesday afternoon.

When asked about the team’s level of readiness for the new season, Mikhado’s general manager, Mr Tovhowani Musandiwa, revealed that they had assembled the best squad ever. He added that their aim was to start the new season with a bang. Asked about their secret weapons, Mr Musandiwa cited the likes of Ndivhuwo Thavhana, Khuthadzo Tshikulumela and Bornwise Molobo as some of their weapons.

Venda Football Academy will travel to Polokwane to honour their fixture against Ollesdal FC at the Seshego Stadium. Makotopong Brazilians are waiting for Giyani Happy Boys, with whom they will lock horns at the Makotopong Stadium outside Polokwane. Ablex United will have a date with Munaca FC at the Makhado Sports grounds.

Unlike the rest of the teams who will play their opening matches tomorrow, Venda Football Academy (VFA) will play their first league match next Wednesday. They will host The Dolphins FC at the Tshifudi Stadium. The other fixtures for next Wednesday are: Munaca FC vs Ollesdal FC, Tshakhuma RO Nandilani vs Makotopong Brazilians, Magezi FC vs Terrors FC, Ngoabe City Motors vs Eleven Fast Tigers, Denilton Callies vs Barracah Valley and Ditlou FC vs Polokwane Soccer Academy.
