All eyes on Sheryl this week

 

Louis Trichardt Paralympic athlete Sheryl James safely landed in Japan last Friday evening (Tokyo time) in final preparations to compete in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympic Games from 24 August to 5 September.

Sheryl forms part of the 34-member South-African team to compete at the games. She will be competing in the 200m heats on 27 August at 04:37 and 04:44 SA time and the 200m final is scheduled to take place at 12:16 SA time. At the time of our going to press, it looked like no heats would take place in her 400m event, with the final taking place on 31 August at 14:45 SA time. Sheryl’s 100m heats will take place on 1 September at 14:46 and 14:52 SA Time, with the final of the 100m taking place on 2 September at 03:37 SA time.
