Final hurdles for Sasol Women’s League teams

Teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women’s League will play their last league matches for the current season on Saturday.

Chippas United Ladies will wrap up their league programme with a home match. They will host Tshandama Young Stars at the Makhuvha Stadium, their second home match in a row. They lost 1-3 to Botlokwa Ladies FC at the Thohoyandou Block G Grounds last Saturday. Should they manage to collect the maximum points tomorrow, Chippas are likely to jump from the fourth to the second position on the log standings.

On the other hand, Young Stars must win the match to enhance their chances of escaping the relegation axe. Young Stars are currently lying in the third position from the bottom of the log.

Chippas will rely on Khodani Ratshalingwa, Lethabo Sello and Mashudu Davhana for goals, while Molobela Mphegela, Mantontsi Mbulaheni and Edzani Ramaano will be expected to keep their danger area clean throughout the game.

Botlokwa Ladies will travel to Nwamitwa village outside Tzaneen. Their match against Sisters FC will be played at the Bolobedu Stadium. Sisters and Botlokwa are closely contesting for the second position on the log standings. Botlokwa are in the second spot, while Sisters are close in the third position.

Sealene Ladies will play against Real Mighty Ladies at the Lulekani Stadium in Phalaborwa. Merwe United Ladies will host Lacoste Morning Stars at the Merwe Grounds outside Malamulele. Mandebele Happy Fighters will entertain University of Limpopo Ladies at the Groblersdal Stadium. The other fixtures are FC 50 Stars Ladies vs Skimzozo FC, Kanatla Ladies vs Seven Stars Ladies and Copper Belts FC vs Capricorn Sports Development.
