Die 17 fietsryers van Hoërskool Louis Trichardt wat die skool en die Limpopo Provinsie verteenwoordig het tydens die afgelope naweek se nasionale ronde van die skole XCO-bergfietsliga by Hoërskool Wagpos in Brits. Voor, van links na regs, is Danaé Schuch, Lainé Smit, Cara Bruce, Elané Visser, Mikeila Scheepers, Amelia Scheepers, Renette Nel, Chrizette Odendaal en Maxelo Baloyi. Agter staan Peroux du Preez, Matthew Lee, André van Ree, Jacques du Preez, Eli Signer, Thabo Mulaudzi, Daniel Lee en Brendan Bruce.

Triegies onder Top 10 skole tydens nasionale XCO

Die nasionale ronde van die skole XCO-bergfietsliga is die afgelope naweek (20 tot 22 September) by Hoërskool Wagpos in Brits beslis, met Hoërskool Louis Trichardt wat een van 124 skole van regoor die land was om daaraan deel te neem en onder die Top 10 skole te eindig.

Triegies het 17 fietsryers gestuur wat die skool en die Limpopo Provinsie gaan verteenwoordig het by die kampioenskappe. Paarl Boys High School is eerste algeheel met 1,005 punte, terwyl Parel Vallei Hoërskool die tweede plek inneem met 965 punte. Outeniqua was derde 898. Hoërskool Louis Trichardt se trappers samel 649 punte vir ‘n algehele negende plek.

In die seuns o.18 en o.19 junior-afdeling behaal Jacques du Preez ’n 40ste plek, met Amelia Scheepers wat ’n 19de plek inpalm in die meisies o.17 junior-afdeling. In die seuns o.17 junior-afdeling behaal Brendan Bruce ’n 33 plek, met spanmaat Thabo Mulaudzi wat 41ste is en broers Matthew en Daniel Lee onderskeidelik ’n 45ste en 54ste plek lostrap.

Danaé Schuch eindig 33ste en Maxelo Baloyi 36ste in die o.16-afdeling vir Youth meisies, terwyl Chrizette Odendaal ‘n 24ste en spanmaat Renette Nel ‘n 27ste plek verwerf in die o.15-afdeling vir Youth meisies. André van Ree het ‘n skitterende wedren gehad en eindig algeheel sewende in die o.15-afdeling vir Youth seuns, met spanmaat Peroux du Preez wat algeheel 37ste is.

Een van Hoërskool Louis Trichardt se ster-trappers, Elané Visser, vaar ook uitstekend en behaal ‘n algehele nasionale sesde plek in die afdeling vir sub-junior meisies, terwyl spanmaats Cara Bruce 17de, Lainé Smit 26ste en Mikeila Scheepers 34ste eindig. In die afdeling vir sub-junior seuns behaal Eli Signer ’n algehele 16de plek.

New leaders were elected during the association’s elective congress, held at the Thohoyandou Indoor Sports Centre last Saturday.
