Mabaleng wins Premjee & Son Cup

The new champions of the Premjee & Son Stokvel Community Cup are the Hollywoodbets Mabaleng Development Team. They defeated Mubva All Stars FC 1-0 in the final, which was played at the Mabaleng Grounds on Sunday.

The coach of Mabaleng Development, Hangwani “Gundas” Mulaudzi, was elated after the victory. His team faced Tshiozwi Dynamos in the semi-finals and beat them 2-0. Mubva All Stars overcame Madabani Green Mambas 4-2 in their semi-final.

For their efforts, Mabaleng Development received R10,000 in prize money, a soccer kit, gold medals, and hampers. The runners-up, as well as the teams that progressed to the semi-finals, also received prize money, hampers, and soccer balls.

The event was hosted by Mamu Community Development, a non-profit organisation. The general secretary of Mamu, Mr Jafter Mamugudubi, thanked the sponsors who had made the competition possible.
