TTM and Ajax on the warpath

The opening match for the much-awaited promotion/relegation playoffs of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) will be played on Sunday afternoon. Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and Ajax Cape Town will do battle for a place in the Absa Premiership Division at the Sturrock Park Stadium in Johannesburg.  Ajax finished their GladAfrica Championship League campaign in the second spot, with TTM close behind them in the third place.

ABC Motsepe teams gear up for resumption of league programme

After several weeks of waiting, the government has finally given the South African Football Association (SAFA) the green light to resume with their league programme for the current season. Upon receiving approval, SAFA immediately wrote a communique to the various ABC Motsepe League provincial coordinators, requesting them to relay the information to the clubs as a matter of urgency.

As part of their preparations for the new season, the ABC Motsepe League side, Munaca FC, roped in the services of the former assistant coach of Black Leopards FC, Mr Solly Luvhengo. According to the club’s spokesperson, Mr Mike Muzila, the deal was concluded on Monday. Muzila said that Luvhengo had been mandated to ensure that the team feature among the top eight at the end of the current season.

ABC Motsepe League programme likely to resume soon

Following several letters written to them by the various provincial leagues, the South African Football Association (SAFA) has given an update regarding the possible resumption of amateur football activities in the country. After realizing that time was fast running out for them, the affiliates of the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League gathered at the Seshego Stadium Auditorium two weeks ago to discuss the way forward regarding the resumption of the league programme for the current season.
