Bishop Archi'b has big dreams for his community

Vuwani FM’s popular host, Tshivalo Archibold Tshivalo, better known as Bishop Archi’b Tshivalo, has had a passion for radio since childhood. The 26-year-old from Niani Hamanenzhe, who now hosts “Hot Time”, a talk show on Vuwani FM from 12:00 - 15:00 on weekdays, is becoming a classic example that, with dedication and hard work, one can live their dreams and succeed in life.

Five years ago, he and his brother, Rifarise Maano Tshivalo, started a radio station, Niani FM, in the remote village of Niani. The station was an unregistered entity and operated online, using Facebook to go live while uploading its content on YouTube. The venture died, but valuable lessons were learned.

“It has always been my dream to make it big in radio, and as things stand, my dream is fast becoming a reality. My long-time dream is to see youths from my home village develop. My village, Niani, is underrated and regarded as the most backward community. This has prompted us to start a project called Niani Talent Show, and if our plans go well, we will soon have Niani Community Radio. I have all the hope that, through these projects, our youths will have a platform to showcase their talents and skills,” he said.

Bishop Archi’b further indicated that they have also established an NPO called Muthombe Media and Entertainment, which aims to develop youths with skills.

For more information about the projects, he can be contacted at 0648127204/ 0725541231 or [email protected].
