The Ridgeway family in Louis Trichardt has extended a warm welcome to Mr Craig Daniel, the newly appointed principal of Ridgeway Preparatory School.
Mr Daniel holds a bachelor of primary education degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and has more than 30 years of experience as an educator. He commenced his teaching career at Risidale Primary in 1992 and was most recently headmaster at Hope Schools and is also the founding director of Excelsior Private Academy.
Mr Daniel spent some time overseas in the Sultanate of Oman and South Korea, returning to South Africa in 2009. He sets high standards for staff and pupils alike, believing in engaging others with respect and dignity. As an avid sports coach, he has coached teams at both district and provincial level and organised multiple tournaments and tours between 1993 and 2016.
Mr Daniel believes in giving back to the community, actively motivating pupils and staff to ‘get involved’ for the benefit of their community both near and far. He emphasises the importance of outdoor education and the benefits of skills and sportsmanship on the field.
“We wish you well in your new post,” said the school's staff and pupils.
