Park development starts with 35 apartments

News in brief - Date: 23 August 2024

For the past couple of weeks, residents of Louis Trichardt have been wondering what exactly is happening in the park opposite Soutpansberg Spar. Graders first levelled part of the park, after which construction began in earnest.

The newspaper tracked down the developer, Kenworth Investment. According to the company, the current construction consists of a 35-unit apartment complex comprising one- and two-bedroom apartments. This is taking place on Portion 1 of Erf 1953. The entrance will be from the Louis Trichardt Lodge side.

As for the development of the rest of the park on Erf 3456, the developer stated that they were still finalising the leases of the tenants. As soon as this is done, more information will be made available about what the rest of the development will entail.

The park was sold off at a public auction a couple of years ago by the Makhado Municipality for private development.
