Vho-Mberegeni Mulaudzi (79) buried

After serving his communities with dedication, Vhamusanda Vho-Mberegeni Mulaudzi (79) of Misevhe in the Masia area was laid to rest at Misevhe on 24 July. Mulaudzi passed away after a short illness at his home on 19 July.

Makhado Council wants to grab the land of sport clubs

The Makhado Municipality notified 11 amateur sport clubs in Louis Trichardt last week that it intends to cancel their lease agreements and take over their facilities. Council does not appear to have any plans in place at this stage on how to manage the facilities, promote the sporting codes or even absorb the additional expenses, should it succeed in ousting the sport clubs.

Coach 'King Mchichwa' joins Black Leopards

As a way to strengthen the team’s technical department, Black Leopards FC announced the appointment of Mr Lucky Nelukau as one of the team’s assistant coaches. According to the club’s general manager, Mr Elijah Mulaudzi, Nelukau’s appointment became effective on Monday this week.

Viewers will remember him for his character as a famous traditional healer in SABC 2’s drama series Muvhango. His acting ability as a traditional healer was again recognized when he recently performed in the role of a traditional healer in Gomora, another drama series that airs on Mzansi Magic.

The current situation in eSwatini (Swaziland) brings hope to the Mbedzi family of Makonde, north of Thohoyandou. For days, protesters have taken to the streets demanding reforms, a democratic government, and the release of all political prisoners in Africa’s last absolute monarchy. Mbedzi’s family is praying for the realisation of the demands of the people of eSwatini as this could lead to the release of their beloved family member, Amos Mbedzi, who is in prison in that country.

Woman accused of killing baby remains in custody

A 42-year-old woman from Ha-Lambani Tswinganani was arrested after allegedly beating her 11-month-old baby to death on Sunday. She appeared in court on Tuesday (1st), but remains in custody.
