The 15th edition of the Hollywoodbets Pre-Easter Cup 2024 will take place this weekend (10 and 11 February) at the Tshikota Masedi Sports Grounds.

The tournament was officially launched last weekend. According to Mr Jafter Mamugudubi, the general secretary of Mamu Community Development (the organisers of the tournament), some attractive prizes are once again at stake for the winning teams. “The overall winner will go home with R8,000, a floating trophy, and gold medals. The runners-up will receive R4,000, while the two teams that made it to the semis but lost will each receive R2,000,” he said. Prizes for the player of the tournament, top goal scorer, and best-disciplined team will also be awarded.

The tournament will kick off on Saturday (10th) when the U/13, U/15, and the ladies’ soccer teams will clash. The action on Sunday starts at 09:30 when Tshikota will play against Madodonga. At 11:30, Tshiozwi will come up against Madombidzha. The winning teams will meet in the final, which is scheduled to kick off at 15:30. Shortly before the final, the junior and ladies' team finals will take place.
