Last-32 clashes in Funanani Ndou Cup

Sport  Date: 19 July 2024

The last two batches of Last-32-round matches of the Funanani Ndou Attorneys Soccer Tournament will be played this weekend at the Khubvi Benjie’s Grounds. The opening matches took place at the same venue last weekend. Four matches are scheduled for Saturday, with an equal number set for Sunday.

Saturday’s programme will kick off with the match between Tshiombo Try Again and Tshivhazwaulu Peace Makers at 09:00. Peace Makers are still in mourning after being booted out of the Safa Vhembe Hollywoodbets Champ of Champs games in the preliminary round.

The highlight of the weekend will be the battle between Mukula Young Santos and Berea FC. Berea FC are geared up for victory after their impressive performance in the recent Safa Vhembe Hollywoodbets Champ of Champs, where they were narrowly beaten 0-1 by FC Basel in the final.

Makonde Home Defenders will face Sambandou United Professionals shortly after midday, while Bennie’s Care Academy will lock horns with Saudi later in the afternoon.

On Sunday morning, Gondeni Big Cat are preparing for a tough match against Tshandama Try Together at 09:00. Defeating Big Cat will not be an easy task for Try Together, considering Big Cat has assembled a formidable squad for the tournament.

Masisi Young Stars will entertain Rams Academy in the second fixture, and Manamani City will be fortunate if they manage to beat ABC FC to advance to the next round. ABC FC recently appointed the vastly experienced Mr. Mashudu “Dunga” Nkhumeleni as their technical director. Madridtas Academy will play against Anel Real Vikings later in the afternoon.
