Will White Vultures fly over Mpheni Defenders?

Sport  Date: 18 October 2024

This weekend will be a busy one for the teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League. Four matches will be played at various venues throughout the province on Friday afternoon, with 10 scheduled for Saturday.

The much-anticipated match between United Artists and Munaca FC will take place at the Makhuvha Stadium on Saturday. Munaca has proven beyond doubt that they are ready for the new season, having beaten Vondwe XI Bullets 1-0 at the Makhado Show Grounds last Saturday.

United Artists are also in the right frame of mind after managing to hold Nkowankowa Continentals to a goalless draw at the Nkowankowa Stadium outside Tzaneen last Saturday.

Makonde Stadium is expected to be filled to capacity when Vondwe XI Bullets host Maruleng Celtic on Saturday. Celtic also started the new season on a bad note with their 0-1 defeat at the hands of Black Leopards.

Musina United will visit Tzaneen United at the Nkowankowa Stadium. Winners Park are gearing up for a tough battle against Black Leopards, with whom they will lock horns at the Westfalia Stadium in Tzaneen.

Musina United began the new season with a bang, following their 1-0 victory over White Vultures at Musina’s Old Mine Stadium. Mpheni Defenders have reason to believe they will add more points to their league account when they play against White Vultures at the Selwane Stadium outside Polokwane on Saturday.

The other fixtures are Winners Park vs Black Leopards and Tlhotlhokwe Golden Syrup vs Nkowankowa Continentals.
