Louis Trichardt gee Universiteit van Limpopo krieketloesing

Louis Trichardt se eerste krieketspan het Sondag, 20 Oktober, korte mette gemaak met hul opposisie van die Universiteit van Limpopo deur hulle redelik gemaklik met 101 lopies te klop.

Louis Trichardt het gasheer gespeel vir hierdie ligawedstryd in die Impala T20-krieketreeks en ingegaan om eerste te kolf. Hulle teken ‘n skaflike 183 lopies vir die verlies van slegs drie paaltjies aan in hulle toegelate 20 beurte, met Naeem Patel wat 78 lopies van slegs 34 balle moker in ‘n kolfbeurt wat ingesluit het ses viere en sewe sesse. Lukas Visser was ook in goeie vorm met ‘n onoorwonne 51 lopies vanaf 54 balle. Ander kolwers van Louis Trichardt wat dubbelsyfers behaal het was AC Geldenhuys (14), Nimesh Watekar (16) en Jabir Abhuji (11). Vir die Universiteit van Limpopo het boulers Phasha Mabapi, Tshepo Pudikabekoa en Gently Motalane elk een paaltjie gevat.

Die Universiteit van Limpopo se kolwers het deurlopend gesukkel om die telbord aan die gang te hou, met slegs Success Mhlongo (14 lopies)  en Phasha Mabapi (25 lopies) wat dubbelsyfers kon behaal. Hulle laaste paaltjie het met die laaste bal van hulle toegelate 20 beurte geval met die telling op slegs 82 lopies. Vir Louis Trichardt was bouler Irfan Aiyub se visier in die kol en hy laat vyf paaltjies kantel vir die verlies van slegs 11 lopies in sy vier boulbeurte. Vimalshah Shah neem op sy beurt twee paaltjies vir die verlies van 13 lopies in sy vier beurte, terwyl spanmaats Rikus Smit, Riaan Gerber en Francois Nel elk een paaltjie vat.

Louis Trichardt sal tydens hulle volgende ligawedstryd teen die Mohodi Krieketklub weer tuisveldvoordeel geniet op Sondag, 27 Oktober. Die wedstryd begin om 10:00.

New leaders for Thulamela LFA

New leaders were elected during the association’s elective congress, held at the Thohoyandou Indoor Sports Centre last Saturday. The association was placed under administration in December last year, following several months of internal leadership disputes.
