Bright future for new recruit at Choice FM

After five years with Musina FM and a three-week stint with Makhado FM, Lufuno Ndouvhada believes he has finally found his niche at Choice FM – one of the fastest-growing radio stations in Limpopo.

The opportunity presented itself to Ndouvhada, better known as “Tlou de DJ”, when he was scouted by Choice FM’s management in January this year, and he is optimistic that an even brighter future awaits him this time around. 

“This is a dream come true for me. It is any presenter’s dream to grow as much as they can in this industry, and this opportunity gives me room for that,” he says. Choice FM broadcasts from their state-of-the-art studio in Thavhani Mall in Thohoyandou.

Ndouvhada says he had already grown tremendously as a radio presenter during his time at Musina FM and Makhado FM, and appreciates the coaching and encouragement he received from some of his role models, such as Marobs Rampabana, Wilson Dzebu, Shumani Ndouvhada and David Mokobi, to name but a few. “These people used to visit me at Musina FM, telling me that they were impressed with my talent. They even told me that my talent will take me somewhere if I persevere and work hard. Indeed, today things have turned brighter for me, and I really thank these people for their support.”

Ndouvhada currently presents the Urban Lunch Express show on Choice FM from 12:00 to 15:00 weekdays. “This is the perfect programme for me because it needs an informative type of person like myself. I make sure that I research current news to keep my listeners well up to date on what is happening around them.”
