Amapiano star Mulaudzi Tee Jay has fans mad with excitement

Entertainment - Date: 03 November 2023

For as long as Tshiphetho Mulaudzi can remember, music has been an integral part of his life.

He is popularly known as Mulaudzi Tee Jay, but his name is Muduhulu wa Gwamasenga from Vondo village, outside Thohoyandou. His musical journey started back in 2011 when he released his first single, “Hatshapfa”, followed by his first album, titled “Mafula”. From there on, he has built a steady career in music for himself.

However, his big break only came in September last year, when he released his first Amapiano single, “Thingani Tevheli”, which instantly catapulted him into true stardom. In January this year, he released its music video, and the fans again went crazy over it. The video features one of our best local actors, Humbulani Tsharana, known as Mulimisi in the SABC soapie, Muvhango.

To celebrate the success “Thingani Tevheli” has afforded Mulaudzi Tee Jay, he recorded a brand-new Amapiano EP with the same title that was released in October. The EP consists of the tracks “Vhanthuse”, “My Love”, “Vhusiku”, “Nkhodeni”, as well as its title track, “Thingani Tevheli”.

The artist is very upbeat about his latest offering. “When I released ‘Thingani Tevheli’, it never crossed my mind that it would make such an impact on my fans, but the response was overwhelming, and this inspired me to release the EP. I collaborated with a variety of great artists, such as Dindie Cess, Fab G, and Injebomvu. They were a marvel to work with and added to that special spark, making the EP a must-have. The EP itself was produced by Eight08_ICU, Thereal Porry, and Nate Africa, and well-known sound engineer Emjaykeyz took care of the sound. He is known for working with big artists like Sir Trill, Mac, and Murumba Pitch,” he said.

According to Mulaudzi Tee Jay, “Thingani Tevheli” (the single) has become so popular that some of his fans are even performing duets of it on TikTok.

“I will soon be embarking on festive live shows, so brace yourselves and fasten your shoelaces. Dates and venues will be made known in due course,” he said.

His music is available on all music platforms, such as YouTube, Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music, Google Play, and all the rest.
