Chillix's new single preaches peace, love, and unity

Amapiano musician Lucky Nemandivhe, known by his stage name of “Chillix”, recently released his debut single, titled “An Angel of Love” (“Murunwa wa Lufuno” in Tshivenda). The artist aims to spread the message of peace, love, and unity through his music.

Chillix, 43, originally from Thohoyandou Block P East, is not only a musician but also a songwriter, businessman, and dedicated member of the United African Apostolic Church (UAAC’s Kereke ya Dzhonanditi).

Reflecting on his musical journey, he shared, “I grew up in Gauteng listening to a variety of house music. I started singing when I was still young, being inspired by local artists like Mizo Phyll. My music genre has diversity for my fans.”

“An Angel of Love,” sung in Isizulu, was released in November. Chillix explained the choice of Isizulu, stating, “My single was sung in Isizulu because it is the most popular guni language. This also gives it an advantage to be played on various radio stations. The message behind the song is simply that love conquers all, and if people love each other, there won’t be war or killing of people, like what is happening around us nowadays, where unsuspecting victims are shot dead by people with no respect for life. It is a nice song to listen to at celebrations or any kind of function or event, promoting peace, love, and unity.”

The single is available on various digital music platforms, including Spotify and YouTube. Chillix has promised his fans a full album release by March next year, featuring Tshivenda vocals.

Looking ahead, Chillix expressed his aspirations to collaborate with artists such as Makhadzi and some of the renowned local VenRap artists in the future.
