Tshisima in the top 20 for Miss South Africa Heritage

Entertainment - Date: 24 February 2024

A former Miss Limpopo Heritage winner, Tshisima Andy Mudau, has emerged as one of the top 20 finalists in the Miss South Africa Heritage competition. Tshisima hails from Ha-Manavhela in Vuwani District.

The names of the finalists were announced on Sunday, 11 February. According to the founder of the competition, Mr Tondani Tshilande, Miss South Africa Heritage is more than just a pageant but is also a transformative project aimed at developing leadership, cultural enrichment, community development, and business acumen. The final event of the competition is scheduled to take place on 28 September this year at a venue in Gauteng.

The 22-year-old Limpopo finalist is currently a hospitality student at the Vhembe TVET College’s Makwarela Campus. “This is a stepping stone for my career as a model because I will be competing with other models from other provinces. I am happy to be here, and I want to win this competition,” she added.

Tshisima stated that her goal was not to be a supermodel but to be a role model for many other young girls. “I started modelling in 2021, but I didn't enter any competitions because I wanted to finish my matric first. In 2022, I entered the Miss Matsila Online Radio pageant, but I did not win. The same year, in April, I entered the Miss Limpopo Heritage pageant, and I ended up being crowned the queen,” she said.
