The Landlord duo release a brand new EP

The Landlords, a dynamic duo consisting of Gift Ramashidzha, known as Gee Rams, and Leo Munyai, known as LeoArr, have released an extended play (EP) album titled “Rent is Due”, featuring four new songs.

The duo hails from Maila, not far from Elim. Their journey as musicians gained momentum early in 2023 when the EP “Started as a Joke” was released. The album featured the collaboration “Vhutepu”. Their subsequent hit, “Hee NdAA,” quickly gained popularity, amassing 1,500 streams in its first week and propelling them into the local mainstream music scene.

With the support of prominent promoter Phaps Gee, The Landlords secured numerous bookings and hosted successful shows. Collaborating with producer @Domborsa on the track “Vhudabi” further solidified their presence on the Venda Amapiano scene. Their latest EP, “Rent is Due,” features collaborations with artists such as TallexQ, Killabeatz99, De Pandemic, YB, and Dombo Rsa. It debuted with 3,700 streams in its first week.

The Landlords have shared stages with renowned artists such as Racha Kill, Rudekid, Mizo Phyll, and Gusba, showcasing their talent and determination to leave a mark in the industry.

Leo Munyai said that their songs contained distinct messages. “We want our fans to be vigilant and watch out for what will happen here on earth.” Their songs address issues faced by teenagers, including unwanted pregnancies, alcohol and drug abuse, and a lack of respect for the elderly. Through their music, they aim to provide advice on becoming responsible citizens in the country and encourage individuals engaged in criminal activities to stop and become responsible citizens with good morals.
